..his name is Wale and he came to get it..

First time I heard Wale, I was searching for Amy Whinehouse's video for 'Valerie'; I found the vid but it was minus Amy &Wale added. I didnt really pay attention to him until later when I caught myself boppin to 'chillin' featuring Lady Gaga courtesy of Zune Marketplace ( yes, shamless & priceless plug hehe). I later subscribed to Zune's Wale podcast to watch the behind the scenes of the video as well as him on tour. I was interested so I went and downloaded a few songs, some of them just didnt connect with me, but being the sneakerhead that I am, his song "nike boots" became my favourite song. A few clicks later I became a top listener (according to Zune) of Wale's 'Back to the future' mixtape.
Even with all that I was still unsure about him, I dont know, at this point I find it hard to embrace new rappers because I feel like they're not rapping, their jus saying a few words over a beat (ahem* Nicki, Gucci, Waka, OJ, ok lemme stop cause I could go on for days!)
Needless to say his album dropped yesterday and to be honest i'm feeling it. I've been playing it all day and I have yet to skip a track.
Peep my favorite track off the album annnnddd my first favorite Wale song below:

Fave Song: Nike Boots (not on the album)

Download here

Fave Song on the album: Diary feat. Marsha Ambrosious

Download here

I also found this video on Three Twenty 1 Media, peep below: UCB feat. Wale

and last but not least, Wale chopped it up with Rap-Up, where he spoke on getting Jay to clear a sample, Kanye "big brother-ing" him and a whole lot more.

All in all, I wrote this to say Attention Deficit which hosts the apearance of Bun B, Gucci Mane, Jazmine Sullivan, Pharrell Williams, Chrisette Michele, K’Naan, Marsha Ambrosius, J. Cole, and more is a great album and if you're a fan you should support the artist and go buy the album. If you have problem finding it in stores, there's always, itunes, zune marketplace, amazon, and rhapsody, do it!
